Problems logging in?
This is often due to the blocking of third party cookies. There are a number of possible reasons why these may be being blocked, some of the most common are listed below.
If none of these help, it may help to try another browser (normally or using Incognito/InPrivate browsing modes), or try another device as it may be blocked by security software you have installed.
Safari/iOS
In newer versions, Safari has a setting enabled by default called 'Prevent cross-site tracking'. This feature is designed, among other things, to prevent a third party cookie from being used on various websites. This incorrectly recognises the cookie required to log in to the online auction widget as a possible tracking cookie.
In order to use the widget in Safari, this setting will need to be temporarily disabled.
Mac
- Click the Safari menu, followed by Preferences

- On the Privacy menu, ensure both Prevent cross-site tracking and Block all cookies are unchecked

- You should now be able to login and bid. Once you are finished, you can re-enable these settings as required
iPhone/iPad
- Go to your settings app from the home screen

- Navigate to Safari

- Ensure both Prevent cross-site tracking and Block all cookies are unchecked

- You should now be able to login and bid. Once you are finished, you can re-enable these settings as required
Chrome
Chrome can have issues if third-party cookies are blocked, or you are running a privacy extension.
To check if you have third party cookies blocked, try the following:
Desktop
- First, check if you have any privacy extensions installed. Certain ad-blockers or anti virus software may be blocking third party cookies. You can visit chrome://extensions/ in the address bar, or or navigate to the three dot menu in the top right, More Tools, Extensions. Within here, check if you have any privacy or antivirus extensions that may be blocking third party cookies and amend/disabled temporarily as appropriate

- If you have no extensions causing an issue, it may be cookie settings. Visit chrome://settings/cookies in the address bar, or navigate to the three dot menu in the top right, Settings, and scroll down to Cookies and other site data
- Ensure that Allow all cookies is enabled. Check that no related domains have been added to the Sites that can never use cookies list

- Failing this, you can try using Chrome in incognito mode, as this may ignore any external extensions. Ctrl + Shift + N, or the three dot menu, New incognito window
Mobile
- Tap the three dot menu in the top right and navigate to Settings, Site Settings, Cookies

- Ensure that Allow cookies is enabled

Edge
Edge can have issues if third-party cookies are blocked.
To check if you have third party cookies blocked, try the following:
- Visit edge://settings/content/cookies in the address bar, or navigate to the three dot menu in the top right, Settings, Site permissions, Cookies and site data
- Ensure that Allow sites to save and read cookie data is enabled, and Block third-party cookies is disabled. Check that no related domains have been added to the block list

- Failing this, you can try using Edge in InPrivate mode, as this may ignore any external extensions. Access this with Ctrl + Shift + N, or the three dot menu, New InPrivate window
Firefox
Firefox blocks some cookies by default, but this shouldn't affect bidding. If you are having problems though, please check the following:
- Open the three line menu in the top right of the window and navigate to Settings.

- Click Privacy & Security on the left hand side, and check the cookie blocking settings.

- Bidding should be possible as long as Cookies within Custom is set to block only Cross-site tracking cookies.
Brave
Brave shield may block bidding. We recommend you disable Brave shield on this page to allow bidding to function as normal
- Open the the Brave menu in the address bar.

- Uncheck the Brave shield toggle and refresh the page.
